TravelsInParadise.com Writer Guidelines
Guidelines for article submission to TravelsInParadise.comTravelsInParadise.com is a online travel website focused on adventure travel, low impact, socially responsible travel, and exotic locales. We are looking for focused travel features exploring authentic and interesting locations. No travelogues. Open to wide variety of topics and styles of writing, but must involve actual destination travel.
To suggest a story, send us an email (1 or 2 paragraphs) about your idea. Due to the large volume of email received by the editorial office, only queries of interest will be responded to. Deadlines will be agreed upon when the article topic is accepted.
Your article should be around 750 words. Longer pieces will be considered only at the Editor's discretion. Please make sure we are the only recipients of your submission, and please guarantee your work's originality. Reprints or other works previously published will not be considered. Cite any external sources quoted or used in your article using standard accepted notation. Public website addresses (URLs) for places mentioned in the article are encouraged.
Please include: author's name, mailing address, daytime telephone, and e-mail address. Please submit articles as a Word or other standard word processor format via email to mike@TravelsInParadise.com. 2-3 pictures per article are required. Pictures should preferably be in digital JPG format, 320x240, but other formats can be converted.
Most articles are published within 30-90 days after acceptance. Articles requiring revision are either returned in original form or first edited and then sent to the author for approval.
All submitted and accepted articles are considered on speculation until the article is published. Payment is upon publication (net 30 days). In exchange for remuneration, Mad Scientist Publishing LLC retains first worldwide rights.
All articles are edited for style, consistency, and clarity. The final title of the published article, photographs and other elements of an article are at the Editor's prerogative.
