Lycian Way, Turkey pictures and Lycian Way map. Pictures of the Turkish Mediterranean Sea coast including Oludeniz, Belcekiz, Faralya, Butterfly Valley, and Kabak. The town at Oludeniz is really named Belcekiz. Oludeniz means "dead sea" and refers to the blue lagoon and peninsula of beach. Watch out when you walk around, the area is famous for paragliding - and the landing zone is on the boardwalk along the beach. The next town along the coast is Faralya which lies on top of the mountain, with a hiking trail down to Butterfly Valley on the beach. The 1 hour trail is a bit steep in places, 6 areas have ropes attached. Kabak is the next town along the coast and boasts a secluded deep blue bay on the Mediterranean. Day 1 of our hike on the Lycian Way started in Faralya.
