Lycian Way photos and Lycian Way map. Pictures of the Turkish Mediterranean Sea coast including Alinca, Gey, and Gavuragili. Xanthos, Turkey pictures of a Roman theatre and basilica ruins, and Lycian pillar tombs. Xanthos was the capital of Lycia, but eventually conquered by the Romans. It's a small scale version of Ephesus with fewer tourists. This Mediterranean coastline area of Turkey boasts more greenhouses than homes and grows large crops of fruits and vegetables. This was days 2 and 3 of our hike on the Lycian Way, which is about 300 km long and continues to Antalya, Turkey.
