Meknes Pictures, Morocco Pictures, Souk Pictures, Medina Pictures

Pictures of Meknes, Morocco. One of the imperial cities of Morocco, Meknes is more mellow than its famous neighbor of Fes. But, it has similar souks, medieval gates and walls, and craft guilds inside the medina (old town). See the famous Bab Mansour and other gates of the wall that surrounds the original city. Craft guilds are alive here; you can wander around the medina and see carpenters, butchers, blacksmiths, weavers and other tradespeople learning and teaching skills handed down through the ages.
