Hydro-Photon SteriPEN
Fast, easy, small water purifier uses UV light
When you get off the beaten path it's hard to find clean water, and you need a water purifier. SteriPEN uses ultraviolet (UV) light to kill all the nastys in 90 seconds or les, and at 8 ounces and 7.6 x 1.5 inches, it won't weigh you down. Just press the button, stir in your glass or water bottle, and wait until the light turns green. The UV light kills viruses, bacteria, giardia, cyrptsporidium, cholera, typhoid, and smallpox just to name a few. Batteries are the only thing that needs to be periodically replaced (after about 75 quarts/liters). When considering cost per gallon, the SteriPEN is cheaper than many other water treatment options, and with a product life of 1,250 gallons, it outlast most other methods as well.
