Osprey Atmos 50

Airspeed comfort in a 50 liter pack

Osprey Atmos 50

The Atmos Series of backpacks from Osprey Packs makes carrying a load in hot weather a comfortable and even pleasant experience. The key is getting air to flow between you and the pack to keep your back cool and dry, and Osprey achieves this through the Airspeed suspension. These mesh tensioned packs contour to your body, sort of like a fancy office chair. The result is that the breathable materials you're wearing can do what they are designed to do - breathe.  All of the Atmos Series packs accomodate water bladders as well.

The Atmos 50 is the extrended trip version of the Atmos Series of packs.  It has a floating top pocket and large twin front pockets with welded water resistant zips. It also has zippered mesh hipbelt pockets, a welded stretch woven front pocket big enough to accomodate a bike helmet and stretch woven side pockets for water bottles or other items.  This pack fits incredibly well and weighs only about 3 pounds.  The Atmos 50 has enough room for those longer ultralight backpacking trips.
