The most picturesque parts of the drive are in Victoria, closer to Melbourne. The second half of the drive in South Australia leaves the coastline. In the first part of the drive, explore Otway National Park and Port Campbell National Park and sleepy towns like Port Fairy and Apollo Bay. Sleep upstairs in a pub and continue the drive the next day. Adelaide is a city of museums, shopping, and culture. Nearby you can take day trips to Hahndorf or the McLaren Vale for a tour of wineries.
